Rules & Details on the 22nd Anniversary Celebration Video Contest
Denver Urban Spectrum ONLINE invites you to submit a 2-minute video and tell us your best and funniest jokes or experiences, or share your finest spoken word performance.
If you have something funny or thought-provoking words to share about politics, famous people, pets, food, work, friends or even family members, we're looking for a couple minutes of your best videos to entertain our Web site visitors and perhaps even our 22nd Anniversary partiers.
The most entertaining videos will be viewed at our April 19 party at the Improv, and will be eligible for various prizes including the 1st Prize of four tickets to the April 19 comedy show featuring Alonzo Bodden, happening right after our celebration.
Video files should be uploaded to the video link on ConnectMe, the Denver Urban Spectrum's social network. Current ConnectMe members can sign in and upload videos, while anyone not yet a member can sign up for free to become a new network member and then upload their videos. The contest is open to all ages and people from anywhere in the world.
The rules are:
1) Videos must be two minutes or less. Videos over two minutes will be disqualified.
2) Videos must be suitable for family viewing i.e. nothing racier or more violent than PG-13.
3) The words "DUS 22nd Anniversary" should be somewhere in the name of the video when uploading.
4) Each member may submit up to five videos.
5) All videos can be used by the Denver Urban Spectrum for promotion of the Web site.
6) Videos selected to be viewed at the 22nd Anniversary party and eligible for prizes may be requested on DVD or a separate computer file sent by e-mail to the site administrator.
So, all you artists and comedians, it’s time to get silly, sassy or serious and get that video uploaded to ConnectMe. Questions about the video submissions may be referred to i.tanya@urbanspectrum.net.
